VOH gives recovering addicts and alcoholics the tools and environment imperative to developing a healthy lifestyle before returning to society and independent living. With help, it is possible for you to learn how to live and enjoy life without the use of alcohol and drugs. Our program provides comprehensive housing, self-improvement classes, and a foundation of recovery built on a twelve step program while residing in a structured environment.

OUR homes are centrally located in Melbourne and West Melbourne, Florida. We have two houses that are close to shopping, bus lines, twelve-step meetings,  and community resource centers. VOH offers an affordable recovery program with boarding that includes electric, cable, water, phone, wired internet, and WI-fi at the rate of $150.00 per week (due every Friday). Our experience proves that in early recovery it is extremely helpful to live with others who are working towards a shared goal of long term sobriety and clean time. Being with people that share similar goals and needs provides a network of support and understanding.

A Vision of Hope is a safe, clean and supportive environment for individuals in the first phase of their recovery who are not quite ready to live on their own. Our guidance, rules, and structure provide our clients with the time and tools they need to develop a healthy lifestyle free from the use of drugs.

Our program is set up for a minimum period of six months and up to 2 years in which the client is required to attend daily outside recovery meetings and scheduled peer-run groups during the week, attend morning meditation, adhere to house rules, perform routine weekly and daily, follow probationary period and abide by curfew, submit to random drug testing. For more information on what is expected, please visit the "Rules" page.

Our mission is to help individuals achieve long term abstinence from drugs and alcohol and become productive members of society.  We provide an all-inclusive program which addresses the social, psychological and spiritual problems stemming from addiction and alcoholism.  Our model provides safe, secure housing with structured programs designed to enable individuals to find recovery.

We recognize that alcoholism and addiction are diseases, not a moral deficiencies. They are physical, mental and spiritual diseases that affect every area of life. Both diseases, if left untreated leads to physical, mental, social, financial, emotional and spiritual devastation and death.

We help our clients return to their communities as productive members of society by providing the resources and environment necessary to foster a healthy transition back into independent living. With our guidance and support, it is possible for individuals to learn how to live and enjoy life without the use of drugs and alcohol.

Upon graduation of our program, clients gain the foundation, tools, resources and financial stability necessary to be productive and fully self-supporting members of society. We strive to help our clients understand their role in society, obligation to give back to the community, supporting themselves and their families, accepting personal responsibility and understanding how to function without the use of drugs and alcohol.

Recovery Program/Residence OR Halfway House?

We are a level 2 recovery residence.  A Vision of Hope offers a structured program to help you build a solid program of recovery into your lifestyle while providing boarding and the benefits of living with others who are on the same journey.  While at our program, you are free to have your phone, look for jobs, work fulltime, attend outside meetings and visit with family and friends (outside the first 30 days).
We have built connections with local resources in Melbourne and throughout Brevard County to provide some general support for those just getting into our program (food, clothes, outreach, etc).

A halfway house is a state funded facility that provides medical management, psychological services, ongoing treatment services and housing.  Halfway houses offer a stepping stone for many coming out of jail or prison.  A Vision of Hope Recovery Program also works with the jails to provide a path for those coming out of incarceration for drug related crimes.
Vision of Hope Recovery Program shall never discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion gender, sexual orientation, age, origin, disability, or military status, in any of its doings or processes. These activities include, hiring and firing of staff, choice of volunteers, admission or discharge of clients, or the election of officers.
